Are the B.C. Burls one of a kind items?
Yes each and every Burl is different from the next making them unique with the different colouration' different grain structure' and a different shape of the burr which would virtually be impossible to reproduce even if I managed to acquire two Burls with the same shape the colour and the grain would be different and respectively.
Are the fruit/salad bowls safe to use with food products?
Yes. the bowls are safe to use with food, all Turnings are coated with 100% Pure Tung Oil (Also known as China wood oil), tung oil is a non-toxic, hard-drying oil that forms an elastic film resistant to abrasion and moisture. It penetrates well and builds a transparent but matte finish on wood, emphasizing the grain and color.
Can I see more pictures of the items you turn?
Yes, you can if you would like more pictures I can be email them over to you. We have pictures of most of the Turnings that we have produced.
Can I commission you to make me an item?
Yes you can the only thing is that I will need to take deposit for the work in hand an invoice will be created for the deposit amount and a request for that amount will be asked for through Paypal and then the remaining amount will be asked for in the 2nd invoice upon completion
I would like to pay for my item, how would i do this?
All payments are processed through Paypal, so in simple terms you will choose your item within the shop, and go through the checkout procedure you will then come to a section of payment information where a "request for quote" will be the only option. You will then confirm your order from that point onwards your order will be processed. then an invoice from paypal will be sent to you requesting payment for the fall amount including shipping and any disco
Why do I have to ask for a shipping quote?
I have found that this would be the easiest way’ you the customer would know how much you would have to pay' and I am not under or over charging, “asking for a quote” is because every woodturning item is going to be a different weight.
What if I where to buy more than one product would the shipping cost be extra ?
I will do my upmost to give you a nice discount "send in the (ask for a quote) and I will see what I can do".
